You started off painting your sculpts. now it appears you use different coloured clays, can you tell me why? im kinda confused cause most people go from coloured clay to paint

It's more a matter of preference, but in my case it saves a lot of time. XD
You can get different effects with painted vs. coloured clay, and most people (including myself) prefer the latter.
